I haven’t posted in a while but I felt after this past weekend’s festivities that it was an absolute must. Saturday May 3, 2014 I watched as two of my best friends got married, to each other of course. I mentioned to someone during the wedding that I thought this was my first time ever going to a wedding where I loved the bride and groom equally. I actually met these two at different times in my life. Before these two got together I wouldn’t have pictured them together. Not because they aren’t compatible but because they didn’t know each other and didn’t really share common friends. When I first found out they were dating I couldn’t help but think that this relationship could be perfect, and just as I suspected, it was.
Their wedding took place at a beautiful location. That place was Bella Collina; Bella Collina is a location that is straight out of a fairy tale. It is a huge mansion siting right off of Belews Lake. I can sit here and tell you how unbelievable this place is but you should really just check it out for yourself, because this is the place every little girl fantasizes about getting married. They got married under the setting sun at the back of this monumental mansion overlooking the water. All of this seemed so surreal because of how breathtaking the scenery was. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were all in their place when the song "Marry Me" came sweetly through the speakers. Everyone looked back and saw my best friend standing at the top of the staircase leading down to where we all sat anxiously awaiting her arrival. She could have stopped time by how gorgeous she looked. I believe she may have stopped her husband’s heart. As everyone’s eyes were on her I shifted my eyes to him. When I did I could see him being overcome with emotion. In that moment alone the look on his face told me just how in love with her he really was. I think that the groom is always underestimated in weddings. The next time you are at a wedding look at the bride then shift your eyes to the groom just to see how magical their relationship really is. It’s incredibly charming. When the bride finally arrived to the groom it seemed like all of the stress and worry from the day just melted away as soon as their eyes met. What happened next completely melted my heart. Right before the bride’s father handed her off to her husband; the husband leaned in and gave her father a huge hug with tears in his eyes. I think the whole crowd was teary at that moment.
The rest of the wedding was absolutely enchanting.
I believe it is rare to find someone that you love whole heartedly, and they feel the same in return. I see that with these two. They are each other’s missing half. For lack of a better phrase, they complete each other, unconditionally.
Senior love aint bad either!
